Although every adult who interacts with a youth educates in some way, it is in the school setting that teachers, support staff and collaborating community members have a profound opportunity to interact with students in ways that will facilitate academic achievement and healthy social development in a safe, caring and supportive learning environment.

Knowing what young people need to experience and learn in order to thrive at school and in life is the quest of all education.  The Child/Youth Resiliency: Assessing Developmental Strengths questionnaire (C/YR:ADS) is designed to measure the resilience of a person so that educators can identify which students may or may not have the required protective factors essential for success at school and in life, be more purposeful in the implementation of school-based interventions protocols for social capacity building and perform comprehensive evaluation of school-based programming.
